100g hotcake mix
30g sugar
1 egg
60ml milk
candied peel


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and butter the gugelhupf tin.
  2. Now place some almonds in the bottom of the tin so that they will be on the top of the finished cake.
  3. In a mixing bowl, put the hotcake mix and sugar and mix well. Add the egg and milk and continue to mix. Next, dust the sultanas, candied peel with some flour, and then carefully mix in the dried fruit.
  4. Pour batter into the buttered tin and bake for 20 minutes in the oven. Test it with a knife. Cook it a little longer if the knife comes out unclean.
  5. Allow it to cool down and take the cake out of the tin. Sprinkle with powder sugar and decorate with cute, small Christmas ornaments. Enjoy.


- If you do not have the traditional gugelhupf tin, then you can use a bundt cake tin instead.
