Udon are among the most widely enjoyed noodles in Japan. Udon are normally much thicker than other Japanese noodles such as soba or ramen, with a distinct chewy texture that makes them particularly ideal for enjoying either with denser, thicker sauces, or in clear, hot soups. Here at Japan Centre we have a great range of dried, par-boiled, and instant udon items available in our Udon Noodles section.


• Empty the aluminium tray, then pour in 300ml hot water (up to marked line).
• Add noodles to the tray and place on your stove. Cook for approximately 1 minute.
• Loosen the noodles, add the powdered soup and allow to come to a gentle simmer before removing from the heat. Add the prawn tempura disc and serve.
