Ginger pork, or shouga yaki as it is called in Japanese, is the quintessential ginger based Japanese dish, made by cooking thinly sliced pork, grated or finely sliced fresh ginger and chopped onions together in a sweet soy based sauce.

How To Use

A quick and easy short cut for making ginger pork:
• Lightly season sliced pork and fry in a pan with a little oil until cooked through.
• Drizzle 2-3 tbsp of ginger pork sauce per 200g of meat.
• Serve on a bed of boiled rice with shredded cabbage for Japanese authenticity.
