A thick and chewy bite of regionally crafted Sanuki udon noodles.

Made with local techniques that give these famed Kagawa noodles their firm and springy quality, these dried Sanuki udon noodles keep their soft, supple texture carefully stored for just when you need it. Providing 2-3 servings of the classically square-cut and densely kneaded udon, these noodles spring back to their chewy goodness with just 10 minutes of boiling and provide an absorbent base to slurp up a wide variety of soups and dipping sauces.

Known in the modern day as Kagawa prefecture, Sanuki was a region of Japan located in northern Shikoku (the smallest of the four main islands) and is the original home to Japan's thickest and most flavour absorbent udon noodles. A region and name that has become synonymous with the highest quality udon, Sanuki noodles firmly stick to tradition when it comes to their simple yet careful craft. Sample our range in your favourite kinds of noodle soups and dipping sauces and see if you can taste the difference.

How To Use

To prepare these udon noodles:
• Add 80-120g of noodles (roughly 1 serving) to a pan of approx. 1L of boiling water.
• Lightly stir with chopsticks until the noodles soften and become completely submerged. Then allow to boil for approx. 10 minutes (for hot udon dishes) or 12 minutes (for cold udon dishes).
• Once boiled, do a taste check to see whether they are you’re preferred softness, drain and serve hot in soup, or rinse out with cold water and serve cold.
