Soba is one of the three most commonly eaten types of noodle in Japan (along with udon and ramen). Soba’s primary unique characteristic is that it are made partially, if not entirely, from buckwheat. How To Use

• Add soba noodles to plenty of water. Push noodles as they soften until completely submerged. Allow to cook for around 6 minutes, then remove from the heat and let rest for a further 2 minutes.
• Strain and add straight to a hot noodle soup (if enjoying hot), or strain and rinse under cold water to cool down, if enjoying cold.
• If enjoying cold, serve on a zaru tray or plate with tsuyu dipping sauce on the side.
