One of the Japanese language's most recognisable features is its use of 3 alphabets, with Hiragana and Katakana, covering basic readings for all words and sounds, and Kanji characters allowing words to be shortened and described via what each character depicts. Whilst the characters come in their 10,000's and even among native Japanese people it is a challenge to master the top few thousand most regularly used, several textbooks are released with handy memory exercises, hints and explanations to understand how each is constructed and used in various words and phrases, making both reading and writing easier to break down and comprehend. Here at japancentre.com we have a great choice of Kanji and Kana workbooks, that cover everything from vocabulary to writing order, for you to expand your language knowledge and use.

Really useful in having big kanji characters, *** order, it's use in sentences, onyomi and kunyomi, and illustrations and notes to remember the kanji and their meaning. I'm first learning to read the kanji and their meaning, then I'll go back over and learn the yomi. I don't always use the book's suggested image/story to remember it, but it's taken a lot of pressure off me to come up with them all myself! I'd definitely recommend it. There is a separate textbook which I believe also has activities to do, but I don't own it. I'm just practising writing the kanji on paper.
I use the "Kanji Look and Learn Textbook" as a reference book to revise and practice Kanjis. I love how each Kanji is represented with fun and simple drawings, which makes the Kanji easier to learn and remember. I would highlight recommend this book to anyone learning **, especially if you are a visual learner. The description of the book was accurate. The quality of the book is excellent - it is not too big or heavy and the paper used for the pages is strong.
