You might not necessarily think ‘curry’ when you think of Japanese cuisine, but the truth is that curry is one of Japan’s most loved dishes. A little milder and sweeter in flavour than your typical Indian curry, Japanese curry sauce is frequently mixed with root vegetables and beef, pork or chicken to make a sort of stew, which is then enjoyed with rice. How To Use

• Preheat 1/2 tsp oil in a pot over a medium heat. Add 20g minced meat, 30g onion, 30g potato and 20g carrot (all well chopped). Cook well.
• Add 300ml water and allow everything to simmer over a low-medium heat for approx. 15 mins, or until vegetables are well softened.
• Remove pot from heat. Add one sachet of curry sauce powder and stir through.
• Put pot back onto a low heat and simmer for approx. 5 mins. Serve over cooked rice or pasta. Serves 2 children.
