For a different, heartier salad that could be enjoyed as a light meal by itself, this avocado and tuna salad is a definite winner. Presented in avocado skins, this salad combines mashed avocado, sliced tuna, tofu, and salad vegetables for a meal that is fresh, tasty, and full of protein and good fats. Enjoy alongside some crusty bread.


1 avocado
1.5 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tomato
50g fresh raw tuna
soy sauce


  1. Cut the avocado in half and take the stone out.
  2. Carefully scoop out the flesh of the avocado, making sure to keep the skins intact. Add the lemon juice to the flesh to avoid it from turning brown.
  3. Cut the avocado, tuna and tomato into same-sized pieces.
  4. Make the wasabi soy sauce by combining soy sauce and wasabi to your tastes.
  5. In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients and sauce and then spoon into the skins. Serve as a nice appetiser or a sensible lunch.


- Feel free to use yuzu juice instead of lemon juice to give an exotic taste to the dish.
