If you love savoury and spicy noodle dishes, this shirataki stir fry recipe is sure to become an instant favourite. Shirataki are low-calorie Japanese noodles made with yam flour and containing little flavour of their own. The trick to this recipe is the combination of umami-rich miso paste and spicy chilli pepper. Enjoy this stir fry on its own as a hot side dish, or add meat and vegetables for a complete lunch or dinner.
1 pack shirataki noodles 1 red chili pepper 1 ½ tbsp miso 1 tbsp cooking sake 1 tbsp sesame oil
手順
Drain and rinse the shirataki noodles before cutting into bite-sized lengths. Remove the stem and the seeds of the chilli pepper.
Mix the miso with the sake and set aside.
Heat the sesame oil and chilli pepper in a frying pan on medium heat . When you can smell a roasted aroma from the pan, add the shirataki noodles and cook on high for about 2 mins.
Add the miso and sake mixture and continue to stir-fry until the noodles are nice and golden coloured. Serve as a side or add some meat and veg to make it a complete meal.
