A delicious pound cake that’s as easy to whip up as it is delicious. Pairing overripe bananas with the nutty flavour of sesame that’s so popular in Japan, this cake is the perfect accompaniment to your afternoon cup of tea.
1 banana 10g sugar 15g butter 1 tbsp white/ golden crushed sesame 1 tsp black sesame 70g hotcake mix
Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Melt the butter and mash the banana with a fork. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients except for the hotcake mix. Stir in the hotcake mix and incorporate well.
Pour mixture into a well-oiled cake tin and bake for 20-30 minutes, baking time will vary depending on your oven, so check with a skewer or a knife after 20 minutes. When the skewer comes out clean the cake is done. Enjoy.
