Mochi is made from sweet rice that has been soaked, steamed, and pounded into a thick, chewy paste. It is then allowed to dry until firm enough to slice into the handy block-like pieces available at Japan Centre. Did not enjoy the taste
I love this brand of mochi in all the flavours, but this was the nicest surprise. Despite having a bag of *** flour in the cupboard, I'd never actually tried it. So this was my first taste of the flavour and the entire bag of mochi was gone in a day. They really are addictive. I think the description of *** as peanut-like doesn't do it justice and I'm now looking for other ways to use it. Slightly sweet, nutty, but also a little like coffee with chicory. Delicious.

Tasty and good quality product. I would recommend especially if you love the taste of kinako.
Never had roasted soybean powder (***) before, which lends a mild nutty taste to the mochi. A delightful snack, no doubt. Good quality and as described.
