Mochi is made from sweet rice that has been soaked, steamed, and pounded into a thick, chewy paste. It is then allowed to dry until firm enough to slice into the handy block-like pieces available at Japan Centre. Never had roasted soybean powder (***) before, which lends a mild nutty taste to the mochi. A delightful snack, no doubt. Good quality and as described.
Tasty and good quality product. I would recommend especially if you love the taste of kinako.
They reminded me of childhood!
