Enjoy some delicious Japanese inspired steak on the grill or in the frying pan in just a couple of minutes. As easy as steak dishes come, this wasabi soy sauce steak uses the combined fire of wasabi and salty savoury flavour of soy sauce to turn the taste of your steak into something extraordinary. Serve for dinner and marvel in the difference a couple of cleverly used Japanese seasonings makes.


• 2 steaks
• soy sauce
• wasabi
• side salad, fried mushrooms, boiled potatoes or other sides

How To Prepare

  1. Start preparing any sides you’d like. Next, warm some vegetable oil in a frying pan. Cook the steak over a high heat, the flip over the steak and cook on a medium to low heat until your desired level of doneness.

  2. Sprinkle 1 tsp of soy sauce on the steak, then slice into bite sized pieces.

  3. Arrange the steak on a plate with your sides, then garnish with wasabi. Pour a little soy sauce in a dish and dip our steak in with a dab of wasabi, enjoy.

Tips and Information

-Yakiniku mild soy barbecue sauce and ponzu citrus/yuzu soy sauce also work well with the steaks.
