This, to me, is the most delicious condiment and ingredient ever, but it's not that easy to get hold of, that's why I go to the Japan Centre online. It's much less acridly sweet than the thick Thai equivalents, this perks up everything from a leftovers stir-fry to a Bloody Mary.
