Background

Somen are perhaps not quite as well-known among non-Japanese folks as the likes of soba, udon and ramen. But rest assured they are no less delicious! Somen noodles are round, super thin, and generally served cold on a bamboo tray or on top of a bed of ice with tsuyu dipping sauce and assorted garnishes. How To Use

Cold noodles in a jiffy!
• Add the noodles to boiling water (1L water for 1 bunch noodles).
• Cook for 2-2.5 minutes, then drain and wash the noodles in cold water.
• Serve with tsuyu dipping sauce and assorted garnishes.
