Background

Donburi are easy one-bowl Japanese meals, consisting of a large bowl of rice with some sort of meat and/or vegetable topping. Common types of donburi include oyakodon (a mixture of pan-fried chicken and egg), butadon (grilled slices of pork with soy sauce), and tendon (tempura pieces). Come to Japan Centre for all your donburi-making essentials.

How To Use

To make an unbeatable butadon for four:
• Heat up 2tsp vegetable oil in a pan on a high heat and add 500g thinly-sliced pork. Fry until cooked, then turn the heat down to medium and add contents of bottle.
• Once sauce has begun to boil, take pan off heat and distribute among four donburi bowls full of 200g cooked white rice each. Enjoy!
