Fragrant, fruity and boozy – what’s not to like? This Japanese plum wine, or umeshu, has been made using the best quality ume plums from the plum-growing region of Wakayama in Southern Honshu. This area was once known as Kishu, hence the name ‘Kishu Plum Wine’. Enjoy the sweet/sour flavour and fruity aroma of this umeshu straight from the fridge. Glass bottle.

ITEM ID: #6566

Umeshu is made by steeping Japanese ume plums in sake alcohol and sugar until the flavour of the plum has infused into the alcohol. The sour flavour of the ume plums and the sweetness of the sugar combine to give umeshu deep sweet/sour flavour. Best served chilled, umeshu can be enjoyed straight, mixed with soda, or combined with other beverages for a fruity cocktail!

Very good drink.
Slightly too sweat for my liking
I got this as a father's day present for my dad and he really likes it. It's quite sweet (like most Umeshu) but was really nice after dinner to wind down at the end of the day. Definitely recommend
Superb taste and quality. Lovely to have as a liqueur. Highly recommend.
Pleasant but not outstanding
