Nabe is a one-pot communal dish generally served in winter. When nabe was first made hundreds of years ago, the heat from the communal pot was an important source of warmth during those harsh winter months. Nowadays electric heaters make the need for a communal pot less apparent, but the tradition of cooking nabe together has remained. Give this tasty dish a go the next time the night is looking chilly!

How To Use

To make a heartily warming nabe for two:
• Add two pods of nabe to 300ml water on the stove and mix until combined.
• Add assorted protein, noodles and vegetables (for this flavour, we recommend adding 100g sliced pork, 1/8 bok choy, 1 spring onion, 100g enoki mushrooms, 1/2 bunch chives and 1/4 block tofu).
• Serve once ingredients have heated through.
