A gold medal winning sake that is sure to impress! This sake, or rice wine, is made from top-quality local rice that has been polished down to 65% of its original size, a little rice koji mould for fermentation, and just a hint of brewer’s alcohol to bring out the flavour and aroma of the sake. Sake is Japan’s most famous alcoholic drink, brewed using special sake rice, rice mould, and occasionally brewer’s alcohol. While some brewers choose not to add brewer’s alcohol as they feel is destroys the purity of the sake, other brewers like to use just a touch of it at the end of the fermentation process, as they believe it helps to bring out the desirable sake flavours. Why not try both and decide for yourself?

How To Use

Can be drunk warm or cold, although we recommend you enjoy it hot!
• Heat in a tokkuri sake bottle in a bowl of hot water until 38°C to 55°C.
• Alternatively, serve at room temperature or chilled.
