Yakisoba (literally translated to 'fried noodles'), is a summertime festival favourite in Japan, both because of its delicious umami-rich flavour and because it is relatively easy to prepare large batches of it on big barbecues. An authentic yakisoba requires noodles, cabbage, carrot, pork, yakisoba sauce, and heaps of tasty garnishes. For's whole range of instant and pre-cooked yakisoba, take a look at our Yakisoba Noodles section.

How To Use

• Boil 220ml of water in a frying pan, add the yakisoba noodles.
• After 1 minute flip the noodles and boil for a further minute, mix well so they cook evenly.
• When the water has boiled off, add the powdered sauce, mix well and serve.
• Add cooked ingredients such as pork, cabbage and spring onion.
