Takuan like the Japanese ancestors used to make! As the name suggests, this takuan is made in the classic way, by leaving fresh Miyazaki-grown daikon radishes out in the sun for several weeks to dry, then preserving them in a pickling solution. With no artificial additives, this is takuan in its purest form! Keep refridgerated after opening and consume as soon as possible.

How To Use

Takuan is mostly enjoyed finely sliced as a pub snack with a beer. Here are some other ways to enjoy it:
• Add to grilled fish, meat or tofu for a tasty garnish.
• Stir fry with meat and vegetables for a stir fry.
• Simply spoon onto a bowl of warm rice for added flavour.
