Background

Zaru udon noodles are best served cold, with tsuyu dipping sauce and various garnishes such as chopped spring onion, cold cooked prawns, lemon and/or lime, and sesame seeds. They are a delicious way to cool down during the summer months, and tasty all year round!

How To Use

To make visually stunning zaru udon noodles:
• Bring appropriate amount of water (1L per bunch of noodles) to the boil and add noodles, making sure to separate them as much as possible.
• Cook until they reach the desired softness (we recommend around 5-6 minutes), stirring to ensure the noodles do not stick together.
• When the noodles are cooked, strain them and cool them with cold running water before serving, preferably on a bamboo tray (called a zaru). Enjoy!
