This red bottle of Japanese plum wine, or ‘umeshu’ contains large, whole ume plums and is a good quality, popular umeshu in Japan. It is made from green ume plums and a liquor called shochu. This variety is made wih extra red shiso leaves for an added herby, citrusy flavour!
