Make classic udon dishes at home.

Prepare one of Japanese cuisine's favourite varieties of udon in minutes flat with Itsuki's stove top kitsune udon. These pre-cooked, chewy udon noodles, seasoned abura age fried tofu, and umami-rich udon soup stock, all come packaged in an aluminium foil tray that can be placed straight on a gas or induction (200V) stove, so you do not even need a saucepan. Enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine without needing to worry about washing up afterwards.

ITEM ID: #5352

Background

Udon are among the most widely enjoyed noodles in Japan. Udon are normally much thicker than other Japanese noodles such as soba or ramen, with a distinct chewy texture that makes them particularly ideal for enjoying either with denser, thicker sauces, or in clear, hot soups. Here at Japan Centre we have a great range of dried, par-boiled, and instant udon items available in our Udon Noodles section.

How To Use

• Empty the aluminium tray, then pour in 300ml hot water (up to marked line).
• Add noodles to the tray and place on your stove. Cook for approximately 1 minute.
• Loosen the noodles, add the powdered soup and fried tofu, and allow to come to a gentle simmer before removing from the heat and serving.
