Gyoza is the Japanese name for steamed or fried crescent-shaped Chinese dumplings, served in many restaurants all over Asia and among the most common dumplings enjoyed in Japan. Gyoza are normally made from minced pork, cabbage, ginger and garlic, and are eaten as a starter or side dish in many Asian cuisines with a combination of soy sauce and sesame oil.
