House Mild Chinese Mabo Tofu Sauce, 150 g, 4 servings
A chinese classic done Japanese style.
It is said that the women who first created this dish had freckles on their faces. The dish was therefore named 'mabo', combining the Chinese words for 'freckled', or alternatively for 'hot and spicy' ('ma') and 'aunt' or 'grandma' ('bo'). This ready made mabo tofu sauce has been made without the spice, so anybody can enjoy it. Stir fry pork, beef or chicken mince, add the Mabo Tofu mix and tofu, stir, simmer and add spring onion.
