A pungent, peppery snack packed with probiotic goodness.

Protein rich and separately packed into 2 servings for ease of use, this naturally-fermented marudaizu natto is perfect as a classic side dish, snack or ingredient within your everyday Japanese cooking. Made from whole soybeans to ensure its infamous flavour is less sharp and more well-rounded, these natto soybeans help you savour their distinct taste and stringy texture longer, adding a savoury hit of sweet umami spice with their included soy sauce and mustard sachets. Moreish and a healthy alternative to meat or fish when served in rice and noodles dishes, give this iconic taste of Japan a try and discover its flavoursome possibilities.

ITEM ID: #16837

Natto could accurately be considered the Marmite of Japanese cuisine. Made from fermented soy beans, natto has a pungent smell and strong savoury flavour that tends to be either loved or hated in Japan. The only way to tell whether you are in the 'love it' group or the 'hate it' group is to try it for yourself. Browse Japan Centre's Chilled Food section for more natto items.

I bought 8 package of them or so with last purchase. I think this product has problem (re-fermated, over-fermented) with strong ammonium smell, which the normal natto shouldn't have. Tasted auful, they weren't eatable needed to discurd. I assume there seems to be some long time standing supply problem of natto but the another product (natto ichi?!?) was much better in quality and also value for money. Would you please sale the previou product again? This one is not cheep and tast terrible, something really wrong.....
