Naito Jouzou Kiso Sansen Niji No Shirabe Rainbow Junmai Ginjo Sake, 300 ml

Delivery to England, Wales, and Parts of Scotland only

Three rivers flow into the Nōbi flood plain. Naito Jouzou's sake flows out.

The Naito Jouzou brewery sits adjacent to the Kiso river, the largest of the flood plain's three, creating beautiful sake inspired by the land around them. To make this junmai ginjo sake, only rice from the Aichi prefecture is used, polished to 55% of its original size and brewed over a long period of time in low temperatures. The result is a sake with a rich aroma, and a fruity, slightly sweet taste that's easy to enjoy.

Sake is Japan’s most well-known alcoholic drink. It is brewed using any of a number of specialty sake rices, koji (otherwise known as rice malt or rice mould), and sometimes a little brewer's alcohol. Sake that doesn't have any brewer's alcohol included is known as a junmai sake, or a pure rice wine. A sake's characteristics depend on the type of rice and other ingredients used, how much the rice is polished/milled, and what brewing methods have been employed. To explore the wide and varied world of sake, take a look at Japan Centre's Sake section.
