Complete your traditional Japanese dishes with Kimura's Usagi rice flour. Known as 'shiratama ko' in Japanese, this flour is made from 100% glutinous mochi rice. Just add water and you will have a perfectly delicious, soft mochi rice dough, which can be used to make mochi rice cakes, dango dumplings, zenzai and oshiruko dumplings, and other soup ingredients and desserts.

Shiratama ko is a powder made of sweet mochi rice that has been rinsed, soaked, crushed and dried to make a key ingredient for Japanese baking. Think of it as a sort of ‘instant mochi’.
