The noodles with all the goodness.

Enjoy a spectacular variety of different grains and all the nutritional benefits they provide with every bite of Maeda's 16 Grain Noodles. Made primarily from wheat and naked barley from Ehime prefecture, these noodles are a sophisticated blend of sixteen different varieties of rice, wheat, bean, and millet, all 100% grown in Japan. Use these noodles instead of udon or soba in any hot or cold Japanese noodle dish.

ITEM ID: #10860

Noodles are the second most commonly eaten starch in Japan (after rice) and their popularity continues to grow. The three most common types of Japanese noodles are udon (thick, white, wheat-based noodles), ramen (yellow wheat noodles often also containing egg), and soba (buckwheat noodles), and there are a number of other varieties as well. For a fantastic range of dried, pre-cooked, and instant noodles, take a look at Japan Centre's Noodles section.

How To Use

• Drop 100g noodles into approx. 2L boiling water.
• Adjust the heat to ensure the water does not boil over and allow to cook for approx. 7 minutes, depending on how soft you like your noodles to be.
• If serving cold, drain and cool down noodles by running cold water through them, then serve on a zaru bamboo tray with a side pot of tsuyu dipping sauce.
