Made in Kyoto, these one-of-a-kind pickles consist of mooli radish, lotus roots, perilla fruit, kombu kelp seaweed and chilli peppers, all pickled in a sweetened soy sauce solution for a flavour that is more savoury than sour. Enjoy by themselves, on top of a bowl of steamed rice, or with an ice cold beer.
