Yes. Our payments are handled by Braintree (our chosen payment processor) to ensure maximum security. No credit card information is stored on the Japan Centre website itself. The Braintree payment gateway processes payments for thousands of online businesses. It is Braintree's utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way. Once on the Braintree systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards.
To cancel your subscription before your first delivery, please call us on 020 3405 1151 or email email@example.com. To cancel your subscription after your first delivery, login to your japancentre.com/fresh account and select ‘Subscriptions’. Select the subscription you wish to cancel and click ‘Stop’.
Once a subscription order has been placed, changes (including address changes and changes to payment details) cannot be made. If any changes are required, the subscription should be cancelled and another one placed with the desired changes.
If your subscription is successful, you will receive an automated email to confirm your subscription has been received. If you think you have placed a subscription, but have not received any emails from us, please call or email us to confirm we have received your subscription
We recommend you select a delivery date during which you will be in to receive your recipe box. However, we understand that this is not always possible. If no one is going to be in to receive deliveries, a safe place must be designated when you place your order. If no safe place is designated and no one is present for the delivery, the recipe box may be disposed of by the courier.
We pack each recipe box using Woolcool packaging to ensure that your products remain chilled and safe until the evening of the day your recipe box is delivered. After receipt, please store any meat, fish, or vegetables in the fridge until you are ready to cook. Please note that any meat or fish products need to be cooked on the day of receipt.
If you are going on holiday or would like to skip a delivery login to your Japan centre fresh account, and select your subscription. You will then see a delivery schedule of your upcoming deliveries. Click on “Skip Delivery” for the one that you wish to skip.
Our subscriptions come in standard, vegetarian and family packages, with the choice of 2 servings or 4 servings per meal. Family subscriptions are only available in 4 serving sizes. Subscriptions are auto-renewed and dispatched every 2 weeks after your initial delivery, on the same day of the week.
Japan Centre Fresh is for those who wish to experience authentic Japanese cuisine in their own home. There is no minimum subscription period. You can order just one recipe box and cancel straight afterwards, or enjoy great Japanese cuisine for as long as you want. The decision is up to you.
