The order process

Order Completed

Once you have completed your order, you will be directed to a completed order page with details of your order and provided with an order reference number.

Order Confirmation Email

We will send you an automated email with your order details. Please keep this email for your records, or for if you need to contact us. Be sure to check your spam or junk email folder if you do not receive this email. If it is not in your spam or junk folder, please contact us immediately.

Order Processing Begins

We start processing all orders once every working day in the morning. Any order from the previous day or received before 8:30am that day will be processed and moved to “Picking and Packing” status. You will receive an automated email to notify you of this.

Picking Items Begins

We will now begin to pick the items from your order. We hope that all the items that you have ordered are in stock and available, but in the event that they are not, there are three situations that will arise. These situations depend on the option that you have chosen during the checkout process:

In stock

If there is no stock, you choose from 2 options

  • Substitute Item
    Our team of experienced staff will choose a similar item to the one that you have ordered. Any substituted items will be marked as so on the delivery note when you receive your order. Substitutes are of the same or higher value as the original item ordered and you will only pay the original amount.
  • Remove item
    You will be notified by email if any items have been removed from your order due to lack of stock. We will also make a note of this on your delivery notice placed inside your order.

Prepare for Dispatch

Once all the items have been picked and any out of stock items have been suitably organised, we will pack your items carefully and securely in a recycled box for delivery.

Take Payment

We only take the payment once all the items have been packed up and are ready to be dispatched. This is to make sure that you are charged the correct amount for any items that may have been removed.

Dispatch Order

Royal Mail, DPD courier service and Parcelforce courier service have daily weekday collections from our office.

Dispatch Notification by Email

You will receive an automated email once your order has been collected for delivery. This will be the final automated email from japancentre.com. If using a courier service you will receive tracking details with which you can monitor the progress of the delivery online.

Items Delivered

Depending on the delivery method chosen and your delivery address, you can expect to receive your order either the following working day (for DPD and Parcelforce UK deliveries), or within a few working days (for Royal Mail or International Orders).

Please note that deliveries to the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands, Ireland and other non-mainland areas may take longer to arrive with all delivery services.
