Item Description

An Osaka and Hiroshima delicacy, Okonomiyaki can best be described as a filled savoury pancake. This wheat flour (with added sardine powder, prawn, spring onion, pickle and tempura pieces) is the base to your pancake, from which you can add whatever you like to create your own taste. Usually made with squid, prawns, noodles, aonori, katsuobushi, shredded cabbage, beansprouts, spring onion, egg, mayonnaise and brown sauce, it's a tricky pancake to handle, but so much fun to try! A firm Japanese favourite, try it out for yourself with a frying pan, hotplate or griddle.
